Theology on Tap raises a glass to faith formation and fellowship

The 2017 season of Theology on Tap continues to grow in popularity with a record number of young adults filling the seats at Blue Star Brewery on July 27.

The energetic crowd came to hear speaker Taylor Tripodi, artist and worship leader, present the topic “Called to be a Creative Catholic: How to Take Your Creative Passions and Use Them to Glorify God.” The event also marks the inaugural taping of the presentation by Catholic Television of San Antonio, which will broadcast the future sessions in a new television program appearing every Tuesday at 9  p.m.
Started in 1981 as a way for young adults to discuss their faith in a friendly, informal atmosphere, Theology on Tap (TOT) first came to the Archdiocese of San Antonio in 2005 and has grown over the years.

When the Young Adult Ministry office first started this outreach, the goal was to host one or two events per year. Now regular TOT sessions take place every fourth Thursday at Blue Star Brewing Company. Past sessions have covered a range of topics, including liturgy, scripture, social and moral issues, vocation and life choices. Speakers are drawn from local clergy and religious, pastoral lay leaders, and business professionals. Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS has presented at several of the TOT sessions and he loves the energy and enthusiasm of the young adults.

The success and popularity of the TOT series has led to the formation of a new group: Theology on Tap — Hill Country. This program is sponsored by St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne and meets the second Monday of every month. More information about Theology on Tap — Hill Country can be found on Facebook @TheologyonTapHillCountry or by emailing Bert@StpetersBoerne.com.

The Young Adult Ministry welcomes all young adults from throughout the archdiocese to attend these worthwhile and faith-building events. Participants can look forward to another round of faith and fellowship at these upcoming TOT events:
