African Mass held in the archdiocese, hope for liturgy to be annual event

The first African Mass in the archdiocese was celebrated on November 24 at the St. Paul Community Center, with Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, as the main celebrant.

According to Bosco Miller, public relations officer of the National Association of African Catholics in the United States, dioceses were encouraged to organize celebrations regrouping the entire continent of African, not just individual countries, and it is hoped that this will be an annual event. Three intercontinental languages were utilized during the liturgy.
