Volunteers from Walmart host party for hospitalized children

The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio is celebrating its 60th birthday all year long. Walmart volunteers hosted a birthday party on June 12, complete with games, birthday cake, gifts, and more, to celebrate the monumental occasion with pediatric patients and families.

In early June, Walmart kicked-off their annual in-store Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraiser to benefit The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. The 2019 Campaign in Walmart and Sam’s Club stores is through July 7.

The 2018 campaign raised more than $496,000 for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Customers and members can donate $1 or more when they check out at any San Antonio Walmart or Sam’s Club stores. Money raised goes directly to benefit the sick and injured kids treated at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Funds are used to pay for equipment, research, supplies, charitable care, and a variety of other needs the hospital has.
