St. Monica extending hours of pre-kindergarten programs

St. Monica Catholic School has announced that the pre-kindergarten 3 and pre-kindergarten 4 classes will be extending hours from half to full day programs as of Jan. 3, 2017.

For over 35 years the early childhood program has operated as a state licensed daycare with a half-day of academic curriculum. In 2011, the school incorporated the kindergarten and extended that program from three hours to a full day. The success of the kindergarten transition, as well as requests from parents to extend the other grades to a full day, has led the school to incorporate the rest of the early childhood program.  Mrs. Geyer said, “We felt like there was no time like the present to get started and the incorporation of the entire campus into one accreditation just makes sense.”

Parents will not see an increase in their tuition rates to a full day price until next year. New enrollees will also be given the half day prices for the rest of this year, making the transition a good economical value, while maintaining the academic success that St. Monica has always known. The current teachers have been teaching for more than 20 years and ready to bring a whole day of learning to their classrooms.
