CHRISTUS Santa Rosa gives thanks to its patroness, St. Rose of Lima, on feast day

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On the 400th anniversary of the Feast Day of St. Rose of Lima, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-New Braunfels held a prayer service, followed by the placing of a new crown on their statue of St. Rose near the hospital’s entrance. It is said that St. Rose traveled throughout Lima, Peru visiting, comforting and caring for the sick, homeless and the elderly. Her ministry remains a model for all those who serve the sick and hurting at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa. In attendance were the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Father Carlos Velasquez from St. Peter/Paul Church; Jerry Weiss, Chaplain, CSRH-NB; David Glazener, vice president of finance, CSRH-NB; as well as the physicians, nurses and associates. The hospital is located at 600 N. Union Avenue, New Braunfels.
