Aspirants take a deeper step in discernment with the opening of new residence

The San Antonio Vocation Office presented the opening and blessing by Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS of the Discernment House at Assumption Seminary’s Lopez Hall on Aug. 19. Taking part in the event were Father Jonathan Felux, vocations director, and Father Danny Nyang’au, associate vocations director.

This is the first year aspirants will participate in the discernment process and live in the discernment residence, and currently four men are living at the site. They are Luis Horacio Gómez from Medellín, Colombia; Alexis Ohaeri from Abuja, Nigeria; Dalton Moy from St. Jerome Parish in Martinez; and Patrick Taylor from Holy Name Parish in San Antonio.

The residence is currently seeking donations for copies of the English and Spanish Lectionary I, II, and III, as well as Breviaries in English and Spanish. For inquiries or to offer support, contact the Vocations Office at vocations@archsa.org or call (210) 735-0553.
